In the years since my Mormon missions, the church has soffened it position against Christians. This shift began under the leadership of Gordon B. Hinckley, 15th president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Let me say that we appreciate the truth in all churches and the good which they do. We say to the people, in effect, you bring with you all the good that you have, and then let us see if we can add to it. That is the spirit of this work. That is the essence of our missionary service.

In the wake of this new acceptance, the Mormon people accept and enbrace what my generation automatically rejected. The idea that disciples of Jesus must be born again lo longer carrys the stigma it held in my youth.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3, KJV
Pause and Ponder
Mormon and Christians unitedly believe in the need for us all to be Born again.
- Is is good that LDS and Christians unitedly affirm the need to be born again?
- Is it possible for Mormons and Christians to find common ground reitive to this essential salvific matter?
